An e-bike crash that took place in Fort Collins has turned fatal, according to a report from Colorado State Patrol.
According to a press release on the matter, the crash took place on May 22 around 4:51 p.m. in the area of South Timberline Road and East Lincoln Avenue, which is just north of Kingfisher Point, Cattail Chorus, and Riverbend Ponds natural areas on the eastern edge of the city. An e-bike operated by a 23-year-old male was headed eastbound on East Lincoln Avenue, approaching an intersection with South Timberline, on which a red Lincoln SUV was traveling northbound. This intersection was described as a two-way stop, with stop signs only found on East Lincoln Avenue.
Per the Colorado State Patrol report, the e-biker failed to stop at the stop sign and went through the intersection, getting struck by the SUV.
