A 4-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after he fell into South St. Vrain Creek near Lyons.
About 5:27 p.m., the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a report that a boy had fallen into the stream and been swept away, according to Vinnie Montez, a Sheriff’s Office spokesperson. A family that was camping above the 30 mile marker of South St. Vrain Drive, also signed as Colorado 7, when they saw the boy fall into the water.
