A women’s clothing retailer with a Sioux Falls location has already closed a massive number of stores in the last few years and might not be done.
According to The Street, value-priced women’s fashion chain Cato Corporation has closed 246 stores since 2022 and plans to shutter more in 2026.
During the first quarter of this year, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based retailer closed six stores. As of the beginning of May, Cato operated 1,065 stores in 31 states, compared to 1,109 as of May of last year. The chain has been closing about 60 stores on average per year since 2022…
