High Ann Arbor costs led to Vietnamese deli closure, owner considers return to takeout roots

ANN ARBOR, MI — A recently closed Vietnamese restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor may return to its humble roots.

Te Phan, owner of Ginger Deli at 203 E. Liberty St., which ceased operations as of May 23, said he wants to focus more on grab-and-go and catering options, while prioritizing the quality and financial value of the food for customers.
