For the fifth straight year, Pasquale’s Pizzeria Napoletana has made the top 15 in a prestigious international pizza ranking. The Wakefield pizzeria tied at No. 15 for the ranking of the 2026 Top 50 Pizza in the United States, the most influential guide in the world of pizza.
Pizzaiolo (pizza maker) Pasquale Illiano has the highest ranking of any in New England with only four other spots in Massachusetts and Connecticut making the list.
Illiano also won one of 10 Special Awards. It is the Pastificio Di Martino Award for Best Pasta 2026. The judges wrote that the pasta dishes surprised them. They noted the simplicity of the Tonnarelli dish, made with three tomatoes, does not mean it is easy to make. They called the dish “really well done.”…
