PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — After months of emergency fundraising and uncertainty, families and educators at The Croft School are preparing for the imminent closure of the Providence campus as its operator moves toward bankruptcy.
Earlier this week, Croft leaders announced that efforts to find a buyer for the Providence and Jamaica Plain locations were unsuccessful, leaving its parent company, Oxford Street Education LLC, insolvent.
In a June 1 letter obtained by 12 News, the private school’s management board said Oxford Street plans to file for bankruptcy this week “to wind down its operations and liquidate its assets.”…
