Class 1 Barbeque Announces New Dine-In Location on Paramount.

It seems like every time we turn around, there is another business on the move. Which is exciting news for Amarillo. We continue to get new places and find established restaurants moving up in the city.

This is part of the circle of restaurant life in Amarillo. When it comes to food trucks in Amarillo, we have seen numerous start off and get a following. Then several of them have moved to a more permanent location.

The Road to a Brick-and-Mortar Home

This is a classic success story in the making for Class 1 Barbeque. They started off in the Food Exchange Park off of Georgia Street. The location where they started would open up for several food trucks on the weekend.

Class 1 Barebeque stayed parked there from their grand opening in the park back in November of 2024. They had BBQ pits put in to do all of their smoking. It was a great setup. Since then, the Exchange Park has started to see fewer and fewer food trucks.

Finding a New Life for the Paramount Location

While the Exchange Park became quieter over time, Class 1 Barbeque’s popularity never wavered.  The one thing that didn’t change was Class 1 Barbeque serving delicious food from that location. Owners Charles and Maria Carr have since decided to move on up and get a dine-in location.

In the words of our Son JT, “God sees your hard work and He’ll honor it.” With that being said… it’s time to elevate. We are beyond blessed and excited to officially announce that Class-1 Barbeque now has a brick-and-mortar home. This is more than a building. It’s proof that faith, consistency, and hard work still matter. What started as a vision is continuing to grow into something much bigger than us. More details coming soon.

They are on the move but not going all too far away. Back when Flavors of India closed its doors back in April, that left an empty building just waiting for new life. Charles is taking Class 1 Barbeque about two miles up the road to 2028 Paramount.

Moving the Pits: Meet the New Addition to the Family

They are working on getting it ready to open the door. Their hope is to be open in about a month, but one of the questions that people have been asking about is those barbecue pits. They were put in at the Exchange Park, and it looks like they will be on the move too.

So you’ll be moving the “girls”? That’s quite a shop they are in now! Can’t wait to see the new “digs” – Katrina
