‘Not a one size fits all:’ Idaho businesses brace for new bathroom law as July 1 nears

BOISE, Idaho — With Idaho’s new bathroom law set to take effect July 1, employment attorneys are urging businesses to start preparing now, even as significant questions about the law remain unanswered.

At a panel discussion in downtown Boise on Tuesday, employment attorneys laid out what House Bill 752, Idaho’s new bathroom law, will mean for Idaho businesses. The law makes it a crime for any person to “knowingly and willfully” enter a bathroom, locker room or changing room that does not align with their sex assigned at birth.
