Two displaced after apartment fire sparked by charcoal grill in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Two people were displaced after a fire at an apartment complex in Spokane Valley late Tuesday night.

According to the Spokane Valley Fire Department, dispatchers received reports of a fire at the Manorvale Apartments around 11 p.m. Callers reported flames coming from a second-floor apartment patio and said there might be people inside.

When firefighters arrived, they found the second-floor patio engulfed in flames, with the fire threatening nearby apartments. Crews quickly searched the building and determined no one was inside…
