Reunion Kitchen & Bar, the cozy East Cobb hangout tucked into Market Plaza, is getting ready to turn out the lights on Johnson Ferry Road for the summer while the team hunts for a fresh start in Sandy Springs.
The plan, according to owners, is a temporary pause. They are aiming to land a new space in Sandy Springs and reopen there this fall, but for now regulars have just one more week to catch live music, cocktails and dinner service before the dining room goes dark.
What Now Atlanta reports that the restaurant told followers on Instagram it would close for the summer while staff look for a new home, and that the Market Plaza spot at 1255 Johnson Ferry Rd, Suite 16 will shut down after a little more than two years in business. Co-owner Ilene Kapper Oxman said the decision was driven by rent hikes and that the team has its sights set squarely on Sandy Springs for a fall reboot. “I love East Cobb,” Oxman said. “But I just feel that Sandy Springs will be a better place for us.”…
