Computer crimes case being dropped against elected official near Ann Arbor

SCIO TWP., MI — For two years, a Scio Township elected official has faced felony charges for alleged computer crimes and the possibility of being removed from office if convicted.

Now, the case is being dropped against Scio Township Supervisor Jillian Kerry.

At the request of the alleged victim, former supervisor Will Hathaway, the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office has decided to stop pursuing criminal charges leveled against Kerry. The case was set to go to a bench trial later this month…
