(WJET/WFXP)– The Erie man who pleaded guilty to making and possessing bath salts at a City of Erie home in 2025 is facing a new drug-related case just weeks before his sentencing.
Millcreek police filed new criminal charges against 40-year-old Adam Hilyer on May 29, saying lab equipment suspected to be used to make more of the drug was found at a Wattburg area home and was turned over to them.

According to the criminal complaint, investigators were called out to the Wattsburg area home on May 29, where they were given a bag filled with broken lab equipment that still had residue to make bath salts on it and other ingredients.
A warrant was issued later that day and court documents show Hilyer was booked into the Erie County Prison on June 1 for felony possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and misdemeanor intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a prescription…
