GREENSBORO, N.C. — At Elm Street Grill, a popular independently-owned restaurant in Greensboro, will serve its final meal on June 13 after 15 years in business, owners Ravi and Chef Ruchi Khanna announced this week.
The Khannas cited rising costs, shifting customer habits and broader economic uncertainty as factors behind the decision.
“The restaurant industry continues to face significant challenges,” the couple wrote in a statement. “(It is) increasingly difficult for independent restaurants across the country to sustain the level of quality, hospitality and service that guests deserve.”…
