PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Last September, state police swarmed the East Providence home of newly minted Rhode Island Senate President Val Lawson.
An email warning that a pipe bomb was going to explode at the homes of three politicians, including Lawson and Majority Leader Frank Ciccone, sent dozens of cruisers and the bomb squad rushing into neighborhoods.
