Advocates urge Syracuse CRB to ignore order to stop investigating police: ‘You’re not showing up for us’

Syracuse, N.Y. – For the past two months, Syracuse’s police accountability review board has not investigated any cases following a court ruling about a similar board in Rochester.

On Tuesday night, the Citizen Review Board held its first meeting since city hall officials ordered it to stop working on complaints against city police. Many speakers from the public urged the board to ignore city officials and resume taking cases.
