DENVER (KDVR) — A Larimer County man was sentenced for a standoff with police at a storage unit in 2023, according to a press release from the Nineteenth Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
On Aug. 4, 2023, members of the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Impact Unit responded to a storage unit facility near the exit to Johnstown on Interstate 25. Investigators located Zachary Widener, who had multiple no-bond warrants for his arrest.

When the unit arrived, they approached Widener, who was inside the unit, but he retreated into his storage unit and barricaded himself inside.
