LAKELAND, Fla. – A 24-year-old Lakeland man died Wednesday night after losing control of his motorcycle in a commerce park parking lot, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency crews from the Sheriff’s Office and Polk County Fire Rescue were called to the scene at 4000 Frontage Road South in Lakeland at approximately 7:38 p.m. First responders arrived within minutes to begin life-saving measures on the victim, who had been riding a red and white 2026 Yamaha YZFR7. He was transported to a local hospital but died from his injuries shortly after arrival.
