MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Good Samaritan says being at the right place at the right time allowed him to save another driver who was involved in a serious crash near the Southaven xAI facility.
The flow of traffic along Tulane Road and Stateline Road is steady, but drivers like Chris Ratcliffe say it can change in an instant, with cars zooming by and concerns about blind spots.
Monday afternoon, he says he saw a wreck from his rearview mirror, a side-by-side in a fiery crash after he says a black sedan hit the vehicle. Seeing the incident just feet away, he quickly jumped into action.
“I don’t blame one person or the other. I think sometimes bad accidents happen, but I’m just glad I was at the right place at the right time, and so many other people were also,” Ratcliffe said. “I’ve been watching that area for the last few months now, and it is a traffic nightmare.”…
