Car license plate loophole, new Tennessee laws require insurance and ID

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — New Tennessee laws are set to close a loophole FOX 17 News first shed light on, after we reported people could get a license plate without showing proof of insurance or proper identification.

This comes as concerns mounted over safety on roads with the possibility that people get behind the wheel, uninsured and undocumented, sometimes going undetected by having a plate on their car.
