Officials at a Texas water park were shocked after a group of perpetrators caused over $11,000 worth of theft and property damage. Upon further investigation, security camera footage revealed that a group of teens was behind the incident, police said.
On Tuesday, June 2, the Round Rock, Texas, Police Department shared a batch of photos on social media, showing a group of “suspected teens” breaking into the city’s Rock’N River Water Park.
“Pretty sure this wasn’t what y’all told your parents you were doing…,” the department wrote, adding the perpetrators broke in “during the early morning hours of Saturday, May 30.”
“Unfortunately for them, the park has cameras. Lots of ‘em,” the post noted. “Now we’re hoping our community can help us put some names to faces.”
In photos provided to PEOPLE by the Round Rock Police Department, an exterior fence appears tampered with, allowing for access underneath the chain-link barrier.
“The suspects gained entry by damaging the metal clamps that secured the bottom of a section of the perimeter fence, creating an opening that allowed them to access the property,” a Round Rock Police Department spokesperson tells PEOPLE.
