LUBBOCK, Texas (KLBK) — Here is your updated forecast from the KLBK First Warning Weather Center:

Today & Tonight :Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast this morning across portions of the South Plains and the Rolling Plains. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are forecast later this afternoon across portions of the South Plains and the Rolling Plains. Locally heavy rainfall is possible at times. Watch for areas of flooding. A mixture of clouds and sunshine along with slightly warmer weather is forecast on this Thursday across the area. High temperatures will range from the middle 80s to the very low 90s. The wind will be out of the south 5 to 15 mph. The chance for rain is 40 percent this morning and then 30 percent in the afternoon.Sunrise is at 6:37 AM CDT.Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are forecast this evening across portions of the South Plains and the Rolling Plains. Locally heavy rainfall is possible at times. Watch for areas of flooding. Partly cloudy conditions and mild to warm weather is otherwise forecast. Low temperatures will vary and range from the middle 50s to the upper 60s. The wind will be out of the south 5 to 15 mph. The chance for rain is 30 percent.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast later in the afternoon and into the early evening across portions of the South Plains and the Rolling Plains. Locally heavy rainfall is possible at times. Watch for areas of flooding. High temperatures will range from the middle 80s to the very low 90s.
