Families, law enforcement urge governor to reject clemency for Carr brothers, Scott Cheever and Justin Thurber

PRATT, Kan. — Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly is reviewing a new round of clemency applications, including requests from some of the state’s most notorious inmates.

Among them are convicted Wichita mass murderers Reginald and Jonathan Carr, and convicted killer Scott Cheever.

The family of one of the victims and law enforcement are urging the governor to reject those requests and asking the community to send letters opposing the release of these inmates to the Prisoner Review Board, you can find more information here.
