City of Albuquerque offering free meals for kids during the summer

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque is making sure kids stay healthy all summer long, with the summer meals program returning this week. The City of Albuquerque’s Youth and Family Services will be providing free breakfasts and lunches at over 90 different locations across the city. Meals are available on a first-come, first-served basis during designated service times, with many sites also hosting a “story time” where children can participate in reading activities. Meal services started on Wednesday at a handful of parks in the Metro.

There will be no service on June 19 and July 3. Children ages 1-18 are eligible for a meal. The meal must be eaten on site…
