Rocky Mountain National Park’s Old Fall River Road daytime closures begin

Spring road maintenance operations are underway on Old Fall River Road on the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park, prompting weekday daytime closures through June.

According to park officials, Old Fall River road is closed to all uses — including pedestrians and cyclists — Tuesdays through Fridays from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. while crews conduct seasonal opening and maintenance work. The temporary closure is expected to remain in place throughout the month of June. The historic road typically opens to vehicle traffic in late June or early July.

Outside of maintenance hours, the road remains accessible to pedestrians and cyclists. Visitors may use Old Fall River Road on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, as well as after 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays…
