High pressure will keep the Lehigh Valley dry and pleasant through the end of the week, with abundant sunshine and warm temperatures expected Thursday through Saturday.
A weather system approaching from the northwest will bring a significant chance for rain and thunderstorms later this weekend into early next week, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Thursday will feature mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees across the Lehigh Valley and lower elevations of the Poconos. Higher elevations in the southern Poconos will be slightly cooler, reaching the low 80s.
