Huntsville-linked firm gets $117 million to deliver 82 Army surveillance drones in 2 months

Global defense firm AeroVironment Inc. will supply 82 drones costing $117 million in total to the U.S. Army.

Battalion commanders and their soldiers need the P550 drones for various operations, including reconnaissance, surveillance and target spotting, the Defense Department said in a Wednesday notice.
