Federal indictment unsealed against Mexican national charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and heroin

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A Mexican national who authorities say was living unlawfully in California is facing federal charges for allegedly leading a drug trafficking operation that distributed methamphetamine and heroin across Northern California.

The United States Department of Justice on Thursday announced that an eight-count indictment has been unsealed against 41-year-old Hugo Alberto Herrera Rodriguez.
