Montgomery County Schools hires replacement for principal who was arrested

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – Montgomery County Public Schools announced on Thursday it selected a new principal to run Kipps Elementary School in Blacksburg.

The division selected Glen Chilcote, who has more than 16 years experience as a teacher, administrator, instructional leader, and mentor to lead.

Chilcote recently served as an interim principal of the elementary school while leading the division’s PK-12 fine arts programs as an administrator of fine arts, the division said.
