FDLE: 65-year-old Tallahassee man arrested for attempting to meet with ‘minor’ in undercover sting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A 65-year-old Tallahassee man is in custody after a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) undercover agent arranged a meeting with him while posing as a young girl.

Charles Savage is charged with four felony counts for traveling to meet a minor for sex, unlawful use of a device to attempt to seduce, solicit, lure, or entice a child, transmission of child sexual abuse materials and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

The state agency said the operation began last month after Savage began communicating with an undercover agent disguised as a young girl on a phone application. The agent identified Savage as a suspect through a tip submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
