Rainbow Room supports children in Texas foster care, needs summer donations and volunteers

AUSTIN, Texas — When children enter the Texas foster care system, many are forced to leave their homes at a moment’s notice, carrying nothing but the clothes on their backs.

In Travis County, a vital local resource called the Rainbow Room ensures these children don’t have to face an uncertain future empty-handed. Run by the nonprofit Partnerships for Children, the Rainbow Room supplies essential everyday items to kids entering foster care, including those featured weekly on KVUE’s Forever Families segments.

However, as the summer heat rolls in, the organization faces a critical challenge: donations and volunteers drastically slow down.
