Austin shooting spree suspect facing 10 new charges

AUSTIN, Texas — More charges have been added against one of the three suspects linked to multiple shootings that took place on May 16 and May 17 across Austin, according to court documents obtained by KVUE.

One of the suspects has been identified as 17-year-old Cristian Fajardo Mondragon by the Austin Police Department (APD) in connection to 12 shooting incidents that happened across Austin and one in Buda.

Court documents show 10 new charges were filed on June 2 and June 3 against Fajardo Mondragon. He now faces a total of 19 charges, which include two counts of aggravated assault/discharge of a firearm, seven counts of deadly conduct and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was already facing charges of property theft $2,500-30K, three counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft of a firearm, burglary of a building and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle…
