Arkansas drivers see relief at the pump as gas prices decline for second week

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – The average price of regular unleaded gasoline in Arkansas fell 15 cents last week, according to AAA.

The AAA Arkansas Weekend Gas Watch reported Thursday the statewide average was $3.86 a gallon. That’s 15 cents less than a week ago but still $1.09 more per gallon than last year.

“While it’s encouraging to see prices trending down, Arkansans are still paying about a dollar more per gallon than they were a year ago,” said AAA spokesperson Carly McKinnis. “We’re hopeful that easing crude prices continue to provide some relief this summer, but drivers should plan accordingly and not count on dramatic drops at the pump.”…
