Jury begins deliberations in trial for man accused in death of Nebraska trooper

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Closing statements wrapped Thursday morning in the trial for the man charged in last year’s death of Nebraska State Patrol Trooper Kyle McAcy while responding to a snow plow crash on I-80 during a winter storm.

Thomas Jordan, 57, of Palmyra, is charged with a single count of misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide in Cass County Court. He pled not guilty to the charge in August 2025.
