SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Utah law enforcement responds to 70 calls per day for unsecured loads and road debris, a problem officials said is more common and dangerous than it seems.
A new Utah law enforcing unsecured loads near landfills went into effect in May, adding penalties for drivers hauling unsecured loads to landfills. In 2025, state lawmakers passed a law increasing penalties overall for unsecured loads.
