2 charged in west Charlotte shooting that left 2 wounded

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two men were shot and critically wounded in west Charlotte and two people have since been charged in connection with the shooting, according to court records and police.

Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the 500 block of Pressley Road around 5:28 a.m. on May 22 after receiving a call about an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, officers found a pool of blood and multiple shell casings at the scene.

About 30 minutes later, officers found a wrecked vehicle in the 900 block of Pressley Road. Two men were inside suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to Carolinas Medical Center Main with life-threatening injuries, according to Medic…
