Cumberland County’s Department of Social Services will host Project Fresh Start 2026 on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 9 to 11 a.m. at 1225 Ramsey St. in Fayetteville. This session, according to the Cumberland County website, targets people with past criminal offenses. It links them to groups that provide help with employment, expungement, job training, legal aid, food assistance, healthcare, reentry, housing, and transportation.
Life is Worth Living will partner with the department to organize the event. This program helps community members who have criminal records reclaim purpose and rebuild their lives. Access to opportunities and resources for renewal and restoration makes this possible.
Nine partner groups are scheduled to take part. The list includes Cumberland County Community Development, the District Attorney’s Office, Cumberland County Justice Services, Cumberland County Legal Aid, Fayetteville Metropolitan Housing Authority, Fayetteville Support Center, Fayetteville Technical Community College, NC Works, and Reentry & Community Solutions…
