Still Going Strong Since 1948: Nip ‘n Sip Drive-in, Lansing

It’s fun to write, read, talk, and discover old places that have closed down and don’t exist anymore. But this time is different; it’s about a place that is still open and deserves recognition.

The Nip ‘n Sip drive-in restaurant in Lansing is a throwback to those old 1950s drive-ins and has been in service ever since 1948.

Yeah, it has the standard drive-in fare like burgers, fries, hot dogs, shakes, etc. but as a bonus they make their own root beer, which has become a local favorite. Their food portions are generous as well, with past customers remarking about the massive amount of onion rings they get in their order.
