Flossing teeth on cook line. What Sacramento area restaurant inspections revealed

Sacramento County health inspectors gave eight restaurants citations for health code violations including one establishment where an employee was observed flossing their teeth at the cook’s line.

Inspectors also closed another spot after finding up to 225 rodent droppings throughout the facility.

What do these inspections mean?

While a yellow placard signals two or more major violations, these are typically corrected or mitigated during the inspection, according to the Sacramento County Retail Food Inspection Guide.
