When it first opened in late 2008, Coquette set a new pace for contemporary New Orleans fine dining. Remarkably, the Irish Channel restaurant’s distinctive blend of innovative modern cuisine and local character has remained consistent through nearly 18 years.
But soon Coquette will serve its final meal.
Chef and owner Michael Stoltzfus confirmed he will close Coquette. The last night of regular service is scheduled for June 26. The chef is also planning a special event for June 27, in a menu format still to be determined…
