Idaho health officials investigate illness outbreaks linked to raw milk

State health officials are investigating two outbreaks linked to raw milk after nearly 60 people across Idaho reported becoming sick in recent weeks.

According to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, investigators have identified almost 60 people who became ill after consuming unpasteurized, or raw milk since May 19. At least 45 of those individuals tested positive for campylobacteriosis, a bacterial infection that can cause gastrointestinal illness…
