A vision for the Easton Highline elevated trail has taken a big step forward with more than $1.2 million awarded to buy an unused rail line for the project.
Local and state officials gathered Friday at the access point for the project — a dusty parking lot where South Fourth Street becomes Lehigh Drive at the Washington Street hill.
