COLONIE — The smell of smoke is blowing across parts of the Capital Region as the Pine Bush Preserve conducts a controlled burn to eliminate the underbrush that can fuel forest fires.
The effort was scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
The preserve says the effort is concentrated at the corner of Old State Road and New Karner Road on the western edge of Albany. The organization’s Discover Center and several trailheads are located nearby…
