Marietta man accused of firing gun during altercation at pizza restaurant

Lance Henry Glenn, 51, of Marietta, is accused of pulling a black Smith & Wesson M&P40C handgun during a verbal altercation and waving it in a reckless manner on June 1 at 1:43 a.m. at Goodfellas Pizza Bar and Grill, 2031 Cobb Parkway, Marietta, according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department.

In response to the threat, the victim acted in self-defense and attempted to restrain Glenn. During the encounter, Glenn fired the gun behind the victim’s back leaving gun powder on the victim’s shirt. The incident occurred in the restaurant’s parking lot and the bullet was fired in the direction of Cobb Parkway, which was occupied at the time and could have struck a vehicle, according to the warrant.

Glenn is charged with aggravated assault weapon; discharge weapon near street; and reckless conduct. He was arrested on June 1 at 2:30 a.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
