Huntsville artist raises awareness for neglected, abused pets

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Beth Griffin has been in animal rescue for 16 years. She’s saved the lives of hundreds of animals through the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, and dozens of them have found temporary shelter in her own home as fosters.

If she sees a pet at risk, she’ll knock on the door of the owner, offering to enroll them in programs to provide proper food and shelter. If she spots a stray, she’ll return for weeks in all kinds of weather, until that animal trusts her to take care of them.
