NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Kentucky firefighter is continuing his recovery after he was seriously burned while fighting a house fire in April, according to TriStar Skyline Medical Center.
The hospital said Glasgow Fire Department firefighter Malcolm Dile was working a house fire on April 10 when the home shifted, causing him to be seriously burned.
Dile sustained burns to his neck, arms, sideburns, chin and hands. The hospital said most of the injuries were second-degree burns, with some areas at risk of progressing to third-degree and required advanced care, the hospital said.
