BOISE, Idaho — An Idaho Department of Corrections (IDOC) inmate who allegedly tried to escape from the prison in January 2026 was arraigned on Friday.
Delling appeared in court online on June 4 and was arraigned in Ada County District Court on one charge of escape-by one charged, convicted of or on probation for a felony, according to court documents.
IDOC told KTVB that convicted murderer and inmate John Joseph Delling was housed at its Idaho State Correctional Institution and attempted to escape custody, but “he was apprehended before he could escape.”…
