Martin County Fire Rescue extinguishes nearly 40-acre brush fire in Indiantown

INDIANTOWN, Fla. (CBS12) — Martin County Fire Rescue quickly extinguished an almost 40-acre brush fire Friday afternoon.

According to MCFR, the fire started just before 3:30 p.m. near Southwest Warfield Boulevard in Indiantown. Firefighters said the fire grew to about 37.8 acres before it was extinguished.

MCFR said no one was injured and no structures were threatened. The Florida Forest Service (FFS) also responded and helped battle the flames by creating plow lines in the area…
