SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A trio of Section 2 champion softball teams opened up state tournament play Friday in the regional finals of their respective brackets.
Two of those three teams advanced, as Class AAA’s Saratoga Springs pushed past Section 3’s Cicero-North Syracuse, and Class C’s Galway walloped Section 7’s Ticonderoga. Both squads are headed to Binghamton to compete in the semifinals of their respective tournaments.
