Hutchinson unveils new 75,000-square-foot YMCA

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The city of Hutchinson is gearing up for the grand opening of its new state-of-the-art YMCA on Monday.

The 75,000-foot branch, on the corner of East 20th Avenue and North Lorraine Street, was built on land donated by the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

The new facility boasts a gymnastics center, a three-lane indoor track, a basketball gym, and a climbing structure.

“It’s the culmination of a lot of work, and I think it’s just going to provide a shot in the arm to the Hutchinson community,” said Ronn McMahon, CEO of the Greater Wichita YMCA. “It’s a resource that will be here for generations to impact, kids, families, seniors. The whole community can come to the YMCA.”…
