DELL RAPIDS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Less than 24 hours after a fire destroyed Pinz, support for the business, its owners, and its employees is already pouring in from across Dell Rapids.
While crews continued monitoring hot spots Thursday and nearby business owners reported the site briefly reignited and continued to smolder, many residents have shifted their focus from the damaged building to the people affected by its loss.
“Everybody sees the building, and the damage to the building, and the firetrucks, and understandably that’s of interest to people, but what people forget is there are employees who woke and don’t have a paycheck now, and don’t know when they’ll get their next one,” said Lonnie Heier, owner of Dairy Queen in Dell Rapids…
